Welcome Back A big welcome back to all our families and school community. We are off to a great start and a big special welcome to our fantastic group of Junior Infants this year. Hot Lunches are also going down a treat and we are delighted to have already started our music lessons in school last week. Very well done to all our pupils and staff on another successful return to school and we look forward to another fantastic year in K.N.S. Ciara McNamara (School Principal)

STEM is an approach to learning and development that integrates the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  It supports children's capacity to understand and engage fully with the world around them. Through STEM, children develop key skills including: problem solving and creativity.  STEM challenges the children to think critically and come up with their own solutions.

Each class work on STEM projects with their teacher and they really enjoy the process, the challenges they face, overcoming these challenges and presenting their final product!

We celebrate 'Science Week' and Engineer's Week in our school and this provides plenty of opportunities for working  on STEM projects.

We are very lucky to have Interactive Boards in our classrooms, 30 Chrome Books, 30 iPads and two sets of Bee bots in our school.  The children really love working with the Bee bots and completing various activities with them.
