Dear parents,
Our "Maths for Fun" programme will commence after the midterm break for junior classes. "Maths for Fun" will take place one morning per week for 5 or 6 weeks. This programme involves playing everyday games, which are connected in some way to mathematical concepts. Examples for young children would be Dominoes, Snakes and Ladders, Connect 4,Card games etc. Each class needs 5 or 6 volunteers to help out with the programme. There is no teaching involved for parents, all you need to be able to do is to play one of the games with a small group of 4 or 5 children at a time and the teacher will be present in the class at all times. So if you have an hour to spare in the mornings and think you would like to get involved, please contact the class teacher.
                                                                             Many thanks, Aoife Foley
