Happy new year and here's hoping for another very successful year in Kildimo NS. January promises to be a very busy month ahead and here are the main details:

 ● 5th and 6th class will be going to the RDS Primary Science Fair next Friday 15th January in Mary Immaculate College. The fair will feature an exhibition of science projects from primary schools and a specially designed educational entertainment programme that will include  large scale science shows, workshops and interactive exhibits. It promises to be a very fun and educational day! The total cost of the trip is €6. (€3 for bus and €3 entrance) Please have this in before the trip next Friday, the 15th.

Credit Union Schools Quiz will take place Friday 29th January in Askeaton Community Hall at 7pm. Our school will be sending two Under 13 teams and two Under 11 teams. (Quiz will be held at some stage over the next few weeks to decide who makes the teams)

2016 Eason Spelling Bee Competition will be held in class at the end of January/start of February. All children are encouraged to participate. The winner will then go on to represent the school in the Limerick finals in March/April. Get practising them commonly misspelled words everyone!

●Boys' basketball training will resume next Wednesday 13th January after school.

●Boys' hurling training will resume in February. (will confirm date  later on this month)

●We will also be very busy working on our JEP this month and starting primary schools' debating! (6th class)

● We have completed some of our Christmas tests before the holidays and will complete the rest of them next week. Please take time to look at your child's results and discuss with them how they got on. They have them all together in a brown folder with the results on the outside. (6th class)

As you can see, a very exciting and busy month awaits! Thank you all for your continued support.

Yours Sincerely,

 Shane O'Neill
