From Monday 30th May to Friday 3rd June, we had our Active Schools Week. It was unbelievable fun!!! Personally, my favourite activity from the week has got to be the bubble soccer we did on our school tour in Dublin on Thursday. We each had our own zorb ball and played lots of different games such as Last man Standing and a game of soccer while in the zorbs. Reflecting on the week, Monday's main activity was the golf lessons. There was three different stations. I found the golf quite hard and challenging, but also lots of fun. On Tuesday, we had a guest speaker Mags Griffin who explained to us all about the dangers of sugar and how to be healthy. It was very interesting.

Wednesday was the exotic fruit tasting day, we had passion fruits, pineapples, mango, peaches and lots more. Furthermore, we got to go into an exploration dome, where we learned all about the solar system and aliens!! Instead of the Wild Encounter Visit, we had an obstacle course bouncing castle, where we all raced each other. This was probably my second favourite activity of the week! Even the teachers joined in! On Thursday, we had our Active School Tours. The 6th class went to Dublin this year, where we enjoyed many different activities such as bowling, bubble soccer, a visit to Butlers Chocolate Factory and the G.P.O. It was an early start and a late finish but it was well worth it!!!

On Friday, the last day of a hectic and very enjoyable week, everybody was tired but we still had a Zumbathon with Avril which got us all moving again! After small break, we had a race which involved going through an obstacle course and bursting balloons. After that we did a little bit of work and relaxed watching a film in the afternoon!! Overall, we had a fantastic week!!! Thanks to all the teachers and the Active Schools Committee for putting it all together.
