Hurling 2015

The 4th, 5th and 6th class boys plus Jenny began their hurling training back in early March, getting ready for their matches in the Cumann na mBunscol B competition. Our captain was Ódhran Behan. Our first match was against JFK. The match was on the 24th March. We won 4-1 to 3-1. Ciarán Galvin scored two goals. Our next game was against Gaelscoil Castletroy. We won 5-4 to 1-5. Everyone gave an outstanding performance in that match. We trained even harder before our next game a month later against C.B.S, whom we managed to beat 2-4 to 2-1 and Joey scored the winning goal. It was a tough game but we had won. This meant we were through to the semi-final. We beat St. Pat's and we were then through to the final in the Gaelic Grounds against Pallaskenry. An epic game swung both ways before Pallas came out just on top. We were very disappointed that we had lost to our near neighbours, but it was a great game and we learned a lot from it. We kept our heads held high and applauded Pallas on their victory. Thanks to Mr. O'Neill and Tony O'Shea for training us this year.
